Worcester Dragon Boat Racing Club Hosts Successful Race the Dragon 2026

Worcester Dragon Boat Racing Club held its annual Race the Dragon (RTD) event on 27 June 2026, bringing together nine crews to compete over the exciting 200-metre sprint course.

The event was blessed with glorious sunshine throughout the day, creating the perfect setting for a fantastic atmosphere. Spectators lined the riverside, cheering on the crews as they battled through a series of closely contested races, with determination, teamwork and sportsmanship on display from every team.

This year’s Race the Dragon was held in support of St Richard’s Hospice, Worcester Dragons’ chosen charity for 2026. The club dedicated the event to the memory of a much-loved member who received care from St Richard’s Hospice before their passing. By supporting the hospice, the club hopes to give something back in recognition of the outstanding care and compassion shown to both their member and their family.
