On 18 June 2023 Worcester Dragons paddled in the UK Chinese Dragon Boat Festival held at Salford Quays & Media City. This was a collaboration between Xinhau Chinese Association, Salford City Council and the British Dragon Boat Racing Association (BDA). It was a two day event with amateur paddlers taking to the water on Saturday 17 June, with more experienced teams competing on Sunday 18 June. This annual event has been held at Salford for 10 years with a combination of dragon boat racing and cultural performances.
