RACE THE DRAGON (RTD) our annual charity regatta, is returning again for 2026! following a successful relaunch in 2024 and another amazing year in 2025.

Race the Dragon is a charity event, hosted by Worcester Dragon Boat Racing Club. It has been held annually, except for the “covid years”, for over 25 years right in the heart of Worcester on the River Severn. Up to 30 teams enter each year to compete for Open, Women’s, Mixed and Under 18 trophies, raising thousands of pounds for charity. With parking and the City centre both in easy walking distance, Race the Dragon is a family friendly event that is fun to watch and to be part of. Come along to support teams and cheer them on as they race throughout the day.

Worcester Dragons are proud to announce that Race the Dragon relaunched in 2024! This year’s fun and competitive day took place on Sunday 15th June 2025. Over 100 people were trained during July 2025 in readiness for the event where they battled it out for trophies throughout the day. The event supported “The men’s shed”, a local charity.
